The Big Squeeze™: What Full-Body Compression Therapy Actually Does

If you’ve ever worn compression sleeves on your legs after a long flight or a hard workout, you already know the feeling. Steady pressure helps move fluid your body is having trouble moving on its own. The Big Squeeze™ takes that idea further. It turns it into full-body compression therapy for your legs and torso in one session. Add the jacket if you want your arms included too.

How Full-Body Compression Therapy Works

During a session, air chambers inflate and release in a slow wave. They start at your feet and move up. That motion supports your circulation. It also helps your body clear the fluid buildup that makes you feel heavy, puffy, or sore. Most people describe it as a firm, rhythmic hug. It’s not uncomfortable. There’s nothing for you to do but lie back and let it work. Many members even relax enough to doze off partway through.

What a Session Looks Like

The Big Squeeze™ is Upgrade Labs’ name for full-body compression therapy. It runs on the Ballancer® Pro system, a technology medical and spa settings have relied on for decades. A session runs about 20 to 30 minutes. You lie down and get suited up in the pants, and the jacket too if you’ve added it. Then you let the compression do the work. Members use it after hard training days and after travel. Some use it regularly to support ongoing swelling. It also works well on its own or paired with another recovery session, like red light therapy or cryotherapy. Whether you’re training for an event, recovering from a trip, or just want to feel less puffy, it’s an easy add to any visit.

“As a cancer survivor I have some lymphedema, and the Big Squeeze helps so much.”  (Rachel S, Park City)
